I LOVE YOU WERE OUR LAST WORDS

ONE YEAR AGO TODAY NOV. 9TH WAS THE 5TH DAY AFTER TOMMY'S ACCIDENT ON THE TRACTOR THAT TOOK HIS LIFE. IT WAS ON THIS DAY HE WAS ABLE TO LOOK ME IN THE EYES AND SAY THE LAST WORDS HE EVER SPOKE TO ME WHICH WERE " I LOVE YOU " MANY MANY TIMES IN A ROW

EACH TIME HE TOLD ME I TOLD HIM ..." I LOVE YOU TOO AND YOU WILL BE COMING HOME TO ME AS SOON AS WE GET YOU ALL FIXED UP." ALL HE KEPT DOING WAS LOOKING DEEP INTO MY EYES SAYING " I LOVE YOU " UNTIL THE VISIT WAS OVER AND I HAD TO LEAVE THE ICU ROOM.

THE NEXT DAY HE WAS NEVER CONSCIOUS OF WHAT WAS GOING ON AROUND HIM AND HE NEVER SPOKE ANOTHER WORD OR WAS ABLE TO RESPOND TO ANYONE AGAIN. AS THE DAY WENT ALONG AND NIGHT TIME FELL ON THE 10TH OF NOV. HE BECAME WORSE. THE DOCTORS WORKED ON HIM ALL NIGHT LONG.

AFTER THEY WORKED ON HIM ALL NIGHT LONG AT 5:30 AM THE NEXT MORNING ON THE 11TH OF NOV. THE DOCTORS TOLD US ALL TO COME IN AND TELL HIM GOODBYE HE WAS NOT GOING TO MAKE IT. AFTER THE PREACHER CAME IN PRAYED OVER HIM, WE ALL SAID GOODBYE, THANKED HIM FOR EVERYTHING HE HAD DONE IN HIS LIFE FOR EVERYONE AND TOLD HIM WE LOVED HIM THE DOCTORS REACHED UP AND TURNED OFF HIS MACHINES AND HE WENT TO HEAVEN VERY PEACEFULLY .

THIS IS A PIC OF TOMMY I TOOK AT THE RANCH ONE WINTER DAY BY THE FIRE. THE PIC BY THE LAKE WAS TAKEN ONE DAY OUR NEIGHBORHOOD HAD A FISH FRY ON OUR LAKE AND TOMMY IS STANDING BY ELIZABETH ( MY DAUGHTER ). THIS WAS HIS LAST FISH FRY WHERE HE HAD LIVED FOR 50 YRS. AND I HAVE BEEN LIVING 28 YRS. THIS SPOT IS NOW WHERE ALL OF OUR NEIGHBORS DONATED MONEY AND HIS SON PUT A MEMORIAL OF TOMMY UP FOR EVERYONE TO ENJOY AT EVERY OUTDOOR FUCTION WE WILL EVER HAVE. THE LITTLE GIRL BY HERSELF IS HIS GRANDDAUGHTER WHO IS SHOWING OFF HER CHEERLEADING METAL SHE RECIEVED.

IT'S BEEN A YEAR OF HEALING AND A YEAR OF LEARNING TO ACCEPT SOMETHING I DIDN'T WANT TO ACCEPT BUT ON THE OTHER HAND IT'S BEEN A YEAR OF GREAT THINGS HAPPENING TO ME AS WELL. I CAN HONESLY SAY IT FEELS LIKE I SAW TOMMY NOT A YEAR AGO BUT LIKE I SAW HIM TODAY AND THAT IS A GREAT THING.

I WISH TOMMY COULD TELL ME WHAT A YEAR IN HEAVEN HAS BEEN LIKE. BUT ONE DAY I TOO WILL KNOW WHEN I SEE HIM AGAIN.
